Understanding jaw pain
Jaw pain can involve the jaw joint, nearby muscles or other causes. Tell a clinician or dentist about pain with chewing, clicking, locking or a change in how your mouth opens. A symptom alone does not confirm a temporomandibular disorder.
A suitable assessment can help determine whether movement-focused care is appropriate or whether dental or other medical care should come first. Call the clinic to discuss the right practitioner for your concern.
A jaw concern may need a dentist or doctor
Explain whether the discomfort is near the joint, in the muscles or around a tooth, and whether you have clicking, locking or difficulty opening your mouth. Include recent dental work, an injury or advice you have already received. A jaw label on a website cannot establish the cause of your pain.

Call REVIVELAB in Bridgeland to confirm whether a practitioner can assess your particular jaw concern. We do not list a dedicated TMJ appointment here. If rehabilitation is appropriate, ask how the proposed care relates to chewing, opening or another task you want to improve. Inability to eat or drink, marked difficulty opening the mouth or new vision changes requires prompt medical attention.
