A CLEAR PURPOSE
What your running assessment includes
Bring your running goals, questions and the shoes you usually wear. Your session gives you time to discuss your running, observe movement and talk through practical recommendations with your practitioner.

Running on the treadmill or turf
A movement or running assessment looks at the task itself alongside your goals and history. ReviveLab’s dedicated running appointment with Danny or Daniel includes running on the treadmill or turf and discussion of exercise and footwear recommendations.
If pain or an injury is the main concern, ask the clinic which assessment to book. Observing running can inform a plan, but form alone does not diagnose every injury or guarantee that a change will prevent one.
Your training goals and questions
Your goals give the assessment a useful direction. You might be preparing for an event, returning after a break or trying to build a comfortable weekly routine. Your recent training and what you find difficult are relevant.
Bring questions about your running and tell the practitioner what a good outcome would mean to you. Recommendations can then be discussed in relation to your experience, available time and next steps.
Exercise recommendations
Exercise in rehabilitation is selected to address a specific finding or task. A plan may work on strength, control, endurance or movement, depending on what your assessment shows and what you want to do again.
The term “corrective exercise” describes a targeted exercise choice; it does not mean there is one perfect posture or movement for everyone. Your practitioner explains the purpose, helps you practise and reviews the plan as your ability and response change.
Footwear recommendations
Footwear recommendations begin with the shoes you use, how they feel and the demands of your running. Bring your usual running shoes and describe the surfaces, distances and situations where you notice discomfort.
The discussion can help you consider practical options, but one shoe is not right for every runner. Footwear advice is considered alongside training and movement; it does not replace an injury assessment when pain is the main concern.
