Melissa Chea
Physiotherapist
MPT, BSc(Kin)
Calgary-born and raised, Melissa completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary before moving to Ontario to earn her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario in 2017.
Melissa’s approach to physiotherapy begins with understanding the person behind the injury. She takes the time to learn about each client’s symptoms, movement patterns, lifestyle, goals, and the activities that matter most to them. By looking beyond the immediate symptoms, she can identify contributing factors and create a treatment plan tailored to the individual.
Her treatments may combine movement assessment, manual therapy, dry needling, cupping, taping, functional exercise, and education. Melissa helps clients understand their symptoms and take an active role in their recovery, with the goal of reducing pain, restoring function, and building long-term confidence in movement.
Melissa is also a Level 3 Certified Pelvic Health Physiotherapist through Pelvic Health Solutions and has a special interest in women’s health. She provides comfortable, respectful care for women experiencing pelvic health concerns that may affect daily life, exercise, or physical activity.
With her own passion for running and strength training, Melissa especially enjoys working with active women and female athletes. She helps clients recover from injury, return to exercise, improve performance, and build stronger, more resilient bodies.
Outside the clinic, Melissa enjoys running, strength training, hiking, photography and pottery.
