Make your preferences clear from the start
A massage appointment is a conversation as well as a treatment. Tell your therapist which areas concern you, what pressure feels comfortable and whether there are areas you want left out. Share relevant medical history, current symptoms and previous experiences so the session can be discussed appropriately.
Give your therapist context about work and training
If discomfort is noticeable after a particular task or workout, explain what that task involves. Avoid assuming that the area that feels tight tells the whole story. A registered massage therapist can assess within their scope and discuss whether massage is appropriate or whether you should seek another assessment.
Choose a booking that fits the discussion
Visit the main massage page for treatment approaches and our current practitioner directory. Check the prices page for available session lengths and fees, then use Jane to see appointment availability. If you are deciding between massage and physiotherapy, read our desk-related neck pain guide or contact the team with your question.
