Understanding golf injuries
Golf combines repeated swings, walking and sometimes long practice sessions. Tell your practitioner whether discomfort happens during the swing, after a round or with another activity, and mention recent changes in practice or equipment.
The assessment can consider relevant movement and strength alongside your symptoms. Treatment and exercise choices are discussed around a return to comfortable participation; a massage session alone cannot guarantee a change to your swing or score.
Describe the swing and the rest of the round
Explain whether discomfort appears during the backswing, impact, follow-through, walking or carrying your bag. Include changes in practice volume and whether the same symptoms happen away from golf. A sore elbow, back or wrist needs its own assessment; the sport alone does not identify the injury.
Connect rehabilitation with your return to play
A clinical appointment at REVIVELAB can explore the movement or strength relevant to your symptoms and discuss suitable modifications. Personal training can be a separate part of building capacity when appropriate. Ask what you can practise now and how the plan will progress toward a full round. Treatment is not a promise to change your swing or lower your score.
Assessment and treatment options
These are options to discuss after an assessment, not a recommendation to book every service. Your symptoms, health history, goals and preferences guide the plan.
